The often debated question that has plagued the minds of people all over the world is finally answered. Nope, I am not talking about questions on world hunger, apartheid or global warming. Those questions are frivolous in comparison. I am talking about the epic scifi fan debate: Which is better— Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars and Star Trek are scifi legends; each movie has a fan following as big as a small nation. Star Wars is the proverbial Hero’s Monomyth, the hero in this case being Luke Skywalker. Luke Skywalker rises above his humble beginnings and vanquishes the evil Sith lord Darth Vader. In between, there are some cool lightsaber duels, pulsating action, awesome CGI and funny interludes. Star Trek on the other hand is about the journey, literally, of Starship Enterprise through space. On board the Starship Enterprise are Captain Kirk, a suave leader, Spock, the last surviving (and cool as hell)Vulcan and a motley crew of aliens and humans.
The debate about the two movies’ popularity has gone on for many a decade. Fans pick sides with the movie that they’re attached to or some decide to not select and love both the movies for what they are. It’s a subjective matter, but the technology of the two movies can be easily compared to find a winner. Here’s an infographic that compares Star Wars and Star Trek technology. Check it out:
