I‘m featuring some really talented Artists/ Graphic Designers on the blog today who truly left me mesmerized with their art. I came across these artists courtesy my friend Yogesh Shirke who’s also a graphic designer/ artist.
I admire artists while being highly jealous of them. They can create works of beauty that can leave us spellbound and breathless. In their hands, a blank canvass goes through a process of metamorphosis to transform into an aesthetic work of limitless creativity and imagination. Yogesh himself is a skilled artist/ graphic designer who regularly makes graphics and illustrations of his own; he’s too lazy to make a blog though. Each of the artists I am going to talk about has an individual style; some have the ability to recreate reality, others give life to phantasmagorical creatures and environments that can leave you transfixed. The following 5 are my picks for really talented Indian Artists/ Graphic Designers, there are obviously many more:
Harshad is a young artist from the holy city of Jejuri. A graduate of JJ School of Art in Mumbai, this artist is capable of creating life like illustrations. I’ve attached some of his work, more can we found here: Harshad’s Work
Deelip Khomane is a veteran graphic designer who is also a creative consultant at Ogilvy in Mumbai. His deft hands can create modern art as well as realistic portraits of humans. Check out his blog and drop in a good word: Deelip’s Work
Abhishek Singh can make fantastic portraits of Indian deities. I love his renditions of Lord Shiva which have a graphic novel feel to them while also being stunning pieces of art. Here’s the link to his blog, do comment on his work: Abhishek’s Work
Uday is a freelance illustrator and artist who too can make breathtaking illustrations. His portraits are deceptively real looking; any more real and they would look like a photograph. You can see some more of his work here: Uday’s Work
This gifted girl can give all the guys in this list a run for their money. According to me, Shreya specializes in creating morbid pieces of art that are very endearing. Apart from the images below, this link gives you more work of this virtuoso: Shreya’s work
