Google‘s been doing a whole chain of Doodles to celebrate the current Olympics, none so attractive or great enough to talk about. But today’s Google Doodle is much more interesting than its predecessors; it is an interactive game of hurdles.
In the spirit of the Olympics, Google created a series of illustrated doodles where each sport was highlighted. These Google Doodles were simple cartoons of the various sports played in the Olympics like Javelin Throw, Synchronized Swimming, Archery, etc. The Olympics 2012 doodles were nothing of merit and I hardly paid attention to any of them. Today’s Google Doodle is a bit different; it’s an interactive game where you control an athlete and maneuver him across a series of hurdles. The Google Doodle’s game play is simple, jump by hitting the space bar and tap left and right keys to gain speed. The game reminds me of another one that I’d played a while ago called Gus vs. Bus where a kid chases his school bus; the game play of Gus vs. Bus is very similar.
Fire away guys. Beat each other’s scores in this interactive Google Doodle celebrating the Olympics 2012. My score is a pathetic 22 seconds and I’m going to make sure I improve on it. Here’s also a few previous Google Doodles done for the Olympics:
