Patrick Vale recreates one of the most iconic skylines in the world by using nothing more than a couple of markers!
It took years of engineering and architectural expertise to create the breathtaking landscape of the city of New York, a landscape that has often been showcased in movies, television shows, etc. It took Patrick Vale two weeks, 6 markers, a piece of paper and his illustration ingenuity to recreate the New York landscape into an artwork. The artwork, titled ‘Empire State of Pen’, shows the view of New York seen from the Empire State Building (hence the name). He shot a time lapse video that documents each and every stroke that went in reproducing the urban cityscape. Patrick Vale’s detailing of the cluttered skyscrapers of the city in the ‘Empire State of Pen’ makes you feel that you are witnessing the scene first hand.
