69 is a compilation of Karhtik Ramachandran‘s adventurous life that is presented in the form of a graphic novel. He gives complete freedom to artists, illustrators, etc. to take his life story and visualize it anyway they want. Each moment of his life is hence seen through the prism of someone else’s perspective.
Karthik aspired to be a filmmaker but got caught up in advertising and designing somewhere down the line and lost focus. This seemed a great way to get back to his storytelling aspirations and produce a riveting story. And what else to use as inspiration but his own life? Each chapter is written by Karthik himself as a script and passed on to an artist, most of them being his friends and associates, to make a full-fledged graphic novel. He has envisioned 69 chapters for his story, each detailing a particular aspect of his life, the trials and tribulations that he has faced, the romances that he encountered on the way.
Chapter 3 was illustrated by Randolf Correia, known to many as the lead guitarist of Indian rock band Pentagram and a member of EDM band Shaa’ir + Func. Randolph depicted Karthik as a walking psychedelic entity plunged in an environment that includes parents suffering a generation gap, a girlfriend who wants to get married and a demanding career.
