Glitchr: Digital Facebook Graffiti

If you’ve recently noticed updates on Facebook that seem to pop out-of-line on Facebook, you have only one person to blame: Laimonas Zakas. Zakas’ creation Glitchr allows the addition of digital graffiti, as Zakas calls it, to Facebook’s design.

The name Glitchr comes from the opportunity to glitch Facebook. It is different from ASCII art as it breaks layout engines on web servers, thus the text is seen in a state of disorder on the comments and status updates sections.  One sees the text overflowing from its regular space; sometimes overlying on top of each other, and sometimes falling totally out of place. Zakas has already thought of the next step in the evolution of  Glitchr. Let’s hope Facebook doesn’t bust that party!
