Here’s a treat for all the fanboys, Marvel introduces augmented reality to its comic books by creating an app, called Marvel AR, for the iOS and Android market. First demonstrated in Austin, Texas, Marvel executives used the app to show the character Iron Man fly right out of the comic book.

The augmented reality app will let comics go beyond the world of paper by adding 3D visuals of characters, interviews of artists, a look at the artwork at the inception level and much more. The app gives a lot of background information about comics that a true blue fan would die for. Currently at a nascent stage, the augmented reality app has great potential to change the comic book industry in the future.
