On 6th Aug 2011, Shoppers Stop launched their end of season sale campaign through a print ad having a QR code on it. Shoppers Stop has introduced a QR code in their print ad to enable customers to use their mobile phone to access their mobile site.

According to Wikipedia, A QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) that is readable by dedicated QR readers, smartphones, and to a less common extent, computers with webcams. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded may be text, URL, or other data. Shoppers Stop’s QR Codes can be scanned through any mobile phone having a QR code scanner. After the detection, it takes you to a mobile site which features all their latest items with discounts. You can either buy the product  or share it on Social media platforms.
