Facebook Places, an application which tracks your GPS location and allows you to check in to a particular place similar to a concept used by Foursquare has now been implemented in India.
With Facebook Places, you can check in and your update will appear on the Facebook Place page, your friends’ News Feed and your Wall. You can appear in “Here Now” to friends and also tag your friends to make them part of your update using Facebook Places. You can also find who all of your friends have checked in to the same place. Using Facebook Places, you can find great offers at stores located near you.
Facebook Places in India has been available to all the Facebook employees but now they are rolling it out for common users also. You can download Facebook Places application on your Android, Blackberry and iPhone.
