Paul Rand, a “street smart” graphic designer from Brooklyn was arguably one of the greatest logo designers the world has ever seen. He altered the way advertising was created and is best known for his corporate logos for IBM, UPS, Enron, ABC, Westinghouse, Cummins Engine, and Steve Jobs’ NEXT. He almost singlehandedly convinced business houses in the US that design was an effective tool to communicate and could not be sidelined.
